Pennsylvania Motorcycle Associations

Whether you’re just starting to learn how to ride or have owned your Harley for years, you may be considering joining a motorcycle riding group.

There are two different types of motorcycle groups: motorcycle clubs and riding clubs. Motorcycle clubs are much more serious and can have a long process before becoming an official member. On the other hand, a riding club, like a local PA MC club, is much more casual.

Whichever type of group you’re interested in, there are lots of benefits of finding other people with your same interests. If you’re just starting out with learning to ride a motorcycle, meeting others can help you learn more. Even if you’re a pro, you can make friends with people with the same interests and join some great group rides.

If you live in Pennsylvania, there are lots of groups. Here are a few local Pennsylvania motorcycle associations and organizations.

Tri State Hog

The Tri State Hog was established in 1986. This is a big group with members from many diverse backgrounds. Some motorcycle organizations welcome members with any type of bike. But if you own a Harley, you already know your type of bike is special. Tri State Hog knows that, too. They meet once a month to plan group rides and other events and discuss important topics about Harleys and other motorcycling news.

Tri State Hog is based near Media, PA.

Street Divaz Riders Association

The Street Divaz is a non-profit that aims to encourage sisterhood. Motorcycling can sometimes feel like a man’s world — lessen those feelings by joining the Street Divaz Riders Association. Connect with lots of other women with the same interest as you: riding. Whether you’re attending a charity event or bonding during a group event, you’re sure to meet some other amazing women in this group.

This organization is located in East Stroudsburg, PA.

Independent Souls RC

If you’re looking to connect with other Harley riders in a low-key group, the Independent Souls RC is worth checking out. There are no membership fees or requirements to attend meetings. Independent Souls RC is a great group if you don’t have a ton of time to dedicate to a group. You can attend meetings and join group rides as you can. They try to include input from every member in planning out their rides.

This club is based in Berks, PA.

Universal Riders Club of Pittsburgh, Inc.

The Universal Riders of Pittsburgh were founded in 2014 and have been chartered by the American Motorcycle Association. The group, like most others, is a great way for motorcyclists to meet, plan rides and just hang out. But, they have another purpose too: to help create a positive image around motorcycling and motorcyclists. They attend and plan fun events to further their goal.

If you’re in the area and want to help change that “scary biker” image of Harley riders, the Universal Riders Club of Pittsburgh, Inc. is the one to join.
